Closing the Racial Wealth Gap

Closing the racial wealth gap is a challenge to society today. Native Americans have been considered second class citizens ever since the white man began to move into the Indians’ territory. Statistics show that people of color (which include Native Americans) generally have significantly lower incomes and are less likely to qualify for home loans and other benefits available to white people.

1. Who: Native Americans’ financial struggles.
2. What: Native Americans are considered financially disadvantaged and don’t get the same employment opportunities and work benefits and home loans that whites do.
3. Where: In New York City, community leaders gathered to discuss the gap
4. When: In October of this year,
5. How: I picked this topic because it was new and when I came across it I thought they deserved better then to be judged by the color of there skin I hate to think that I get it better then someone else because of the way I look on the out side after reading this article I realized that it wasn’t just Natives but it was Latinos, blacks and Hawaiians all joined together by one thing the racial event’s pointed toured them.
